Understanding CP6, CP8 and CP10
Choosing a palm olein grade.
RBD palm olein is the refined, bleached and deodorized liquid fraction of palm oil. CP stands for cloud point, a measure of how the oil behaves as it cools under test conditions.
- CP6: commonly specified at 6°C maximum.
- CP8: commonly specified at 8°C maximum.
- CP10: commonly specified at 10°C maximum.
These grades help describe the oil’s behaviour at cooler temperatures. Kayilan can help clarify the grade and supplier specification for your needs; cloud point alone does not determine overall quality.
