Product sourcing / African cocoa beans

Cocoa beans from Africa, specified for your production.

Kayilan supports cocoa bean sourcing from African origins. For processors, chocolate makers and food businesses, we help clarify the origin and bean specification, then coordinate supplier discussions, representative samples and document review.

Begin with the beans

Define the production requirement.

Specify preferred origin, crop or harvest period, fermentation and drying requirements, and intended processing use. Include a target flavour profile or reference sample where it matters to the finished product.

Fermentation and roasting both contribute to chocolate flavour. Evaluate the proposed beans against the processing approach and product you intend to make.

Assess the particular lot

Evaluate more than the origin.

A country name starts the discussion. Compare moisture, size and uniformity, fermentation assessment, defects and flavour against agreed limits and assessment methods.

Request the technical specification and batch analysis. Agree food-safety checks for the application and destination. Flavour, physical characteristics and food safety are separate parts of quality.

Follow the material

Keep the records connected.

Identify the cultivation country, supplier, post-harvest handling and exporter. Use lot references that connect the offer, sample, analysis and shipment documents.

Traceability should follow production, processing and distribution. State documentation needs early so they can be assessed with the commercial offer.

Enquiries can also cover cocoa liquor or mass, cocoa butter and cocoa powder. Each needs a separate specification and processor review.

For powder, state natural or alkalised treatment, fat content, colour and particle size. Confirm cultivation and processing origins separately.

Your sourcing brief

Give the enquiry a clear destination.

Share the bean specification, quantity, packaging, destination and timing. Kayilan can coordinate supplier comparisons and follow-through. Origin, processor, specification and terms are reviewed for each enquiry; availability is confirmed before commitment.
